So here we go. The first of Idea for a Better Universe...this one is simple but an interesting concept!

Here is another idea for a better universe! I pose a few "what if" questions to spark our creative thinking ... as i ponder the facts that high school drop out rates are nearly 1/2 of teens never finish high school, more high school graduates are opting out of going to college and I talk to more parents who are struggling as they face the stresses of college bills and a challenged economy!
What if the a small portion of our $9.4 Trillion deficit went to pay for every child to go to college for at least 4 years of undergrad?
What if we used some of this funding to retrain our American School systems to relate to our children in new ways that motivate, inspire and mentor these children to new levels of self confidence and exceptional learning?
What if we created a program that coached and mentored in confidence troubled and at risk teens?
What if spent just a small amount of money to clean the roadways and plant trees, flowers, and organic foods, then open them up as open field markets of vegetables and fruits for those that can not afford to to buy food? BTW, have you seen trash piling up on some of our roadways and most beaufiful tourist spots that are suppose to be magnificant vistas!
More what if's to come... do you have some? Feel free to submit
March:
Grammy & Oscar nonimees should follow a similar code of ethics as Professional and Olympic athletes do- No substances should be found in the body of a performer, musician, dancer that is up for awards. Why should Marion Jones, Barry Bonds or Roger Clemmons be placed under a microscope for performance enhancing drugs while the Grammys and Oscars hand out awards to performers who abuse drugs of any type at the risk of their own lives and others. How about random drug testing every year for artists that are up and coming and potential award winners, past award winners....?
A gold medal would never be found on the neck of an athlete that was found to use performance enhancing drugs!
Many of these performers are idolized by our children. They are influential to young teens. Why not inspire a healthier way of living in our children and young adults.
